New Beginning

II Cor. 5:17

There is something special about the word new. A new job, a new home, a new car always brings excitement and challenge to any person that is involved.

There are many people today that say I wish I could start new and change some things in my life. Some make resolutions every year only to go a few days and find the new leaf that was turned had turned back to the side they have seen before.

What causes a person to not be satisfied with the conditions around them?

Why does mankind seem to want something new and why is he always looking?
While Jesus was here on earth he found many that was not satisfied with the government and wanted change. Wars have been fought all over the world because man wanted change. We are seeing many today that can easily point out what is wrong and he can cry out we want change. Change for what? We change and many are still not satisfied and start the whole process all over saying we want something new. This should show us that there is something wrong with mankind. The Bible calls that which is wrong SIN.

As a matter of fact the Scriptures have declared us all sinners and says we all need to be saved. Saved from what? First of all, we need to be saved from ourselves. Man trying to find peace many times destroys himself instead of helping himself. He gets involved in self destructive habits looking for satisfaction only to destroy his health and shorten his days here on earth.

Man has a Creator that will give to each of us a new life but many today try to give credit to something or someone other than his Creator.

The Bible tells us in the beginning God created heaven and earth. Man had a beautiful garden to live in until sin in the form of a serpent deceived him and pain set in and has been with us ever since.

We hear many tell of all the problems they have when in reality it is sin that has caused all the troubles of life we have. Pills of all kind are used to numb the mind when only if we would turn loose and let Jesus take control of our lives. Jesus Christ has a new life with new friends, new direction for every person that will only receive it.

Christ himself said, I give unto them eternal life and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. John 10:27. Has there been a time in your  life you were given the gift of eternal life? If so you can rest assured that there is no one that is able to pluck you out of his hand. You are sealed unto the day of redemption the day Christ becomes your Lord and Savior.

When Jesus gives you a new life you will find your friends will be different for you will be different. Your desires will be different. I believe you will have a new place to go regular called the house of God or simply saying the Church. You will  look forward to singing praises and having fellowship with your new found brothers and sisters in Christ.
