Wise Men Still Seek Jesus

Mt. 2:1-2

We have seen the birth of Jesus Christ promised and fulfilled in chapter 1, as well as the angel speaking to Joseph and Joseph deciding not to put Mary away but took her and knew her not until Jesus was born.

Notice chapter 2 says, now when Jesus was born, no longer do we need to look for the Savior.

He is born. Thousands of people today bear witness to the fact that the Savior has been born and salvation is given to them. We have been saved because of Jesus being born "in Him, we are complete."

In verse 2, there is a question asked by the wise men, where is He that is born King of the Jews? Romans 10:8 tells us, the word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart.

The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. Salvation is here for every one of us if we will just accept it. Romans 10:9-13 makes it very clear that we can all be saved by simply putting our trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ.

In verse 2 of Matthew, chapter 2, we also find the statement, we have seen his star and have come to worship Him.

John 1:9 says, that was the true Light which lights every man that comes in to the world. Man needs a light to direct his paths. No longer do we need to stumble in the dark, the Light of life has come.

Have you ever seen the Light that Jesus shines for each of us? A wise man or woman will settle this matter in his/her heart.

They not only said in verse 2, they had seen his star but they also said we have come to worship Him. Today, you and I need to worship him, our blessed Lord Jesus deserves first place in our lives.

Did you ever hear of a sportsman not going to a game, never talking with other sportsmen? Every Christian should enjoy the fellowship of other Christians, talk of and enjoy the fellowship of the Lord.

How do we worship?  I understand the word to mean: worthy, a prayer, church services, show reverence for a deity, "Son of God", intense love, (do we have intense love for Him? When was the last time you told the Lord you loved him? admiration Do we admire him? Look what he has done, virgin born, sinless life, death on the cross for our sins, the third day resurrected from the dead, ascended back to Heaven, coming again, we admire people for their accomplishments, why not admire Jesus for what he did?

Yes there are still some wise men in the world today. They recognize that Jesus is born and they seek Him and worship Him.

The wise men knelt and worshiped Jesus and went home another way. Any person who truly kneels before Jesus goes home another way and becomes a new person.

The wisest thing I have ever done is to see my need of being saved and do something about it.

Friends, Jesus has paid for our eternal salvation with his own blood. Do not lose your soul by rejecting Him.
